Luzon police Units ramps-up the government’s intensified anti-illegal drugs campaign with the arrest of two high-value drug personalities and the destruction of a clandestine marijuana farm in separate police operations on Wednesday, PNP Officer-In-Charge PLTGEN Vicente D. Danao Jr. announced.

In Central Luzon, operating units of CPDEU, PS1 SPDEU, and OCMFC launched drug buy-bust operations on May 18, 2022, 12:40 AM, at Blue Bus Terminal located along Anonas St., Brgy. West Bajac-Bajac, Olongapo City that resulted in the successful arrest of Aminoden Mama CASIM a.k.a. ‘Mino”, 32, and Habier Isirael ARAH a.k.a. “Abel”, 38.

Confiscated from Casim and Arah were more or less 50 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price of Php340,000.00 and buy-bust money. The suspects, who will be facing criminal charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are now under the custody of CPDEU for documentation and proper disposition while the pieces of evidence were submitted to Olongapo City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Meanwhile, in Northern Luzon, combined forces of Bakun MPS (lead), PDEU, and PIU-Benguet PPO conducted clearing operations on May 18, 2022, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM that resulted in the discovery, uprooting, and burning of more or less 2,400 fully grown marijuana plants planted in 300 sqm land area in Sitio Mabilig, Kayapa, Bakun, Benguet and more or less 5,000 grams of dried marijuana stalks with an estimated SDP value of Php1,080,000.00. However, no cultivator was apprehended during the operation.

“I congratulate our police troops in Luzon for yet another big accomplishment in our massive marijuana clearing operations and intensified offensive against illegal drugs with greater focus on high value drug personality as we live up with our sacred obligation of ensuring a drug-free country,” PLTGen Danao said.
