Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Police General Guillermo Lorenzo T Eleazar ordered a thorough investigation into the revelation of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte that nine police generals were supposedly involved in drug trafficking.
As he talked about corruption and illegal drugs in his last State of the Nation Address, President Duterte said that nine high-ranking police officials were linked to drug trafficking.
PGen Eleazar assured that this will be seriously looked into as he reiterated that rogue cops have no place in the police organization.
Surigao del Norte Representative Robert "Ace" Barbers already said he would push for a congressional inquiry of the case of the nine police generals.
